OVERVIEW: Probat Inc. has an opportunity for an Electrical/Mechanical Assembler. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in assembling mechanical equipment. This candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of assembly operations including wiring of equipment within set guidelines. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs complex assembly of commercial size snack food equipment, including installation and hardware assembly Evaluates drawings to ensure proper procedures are followed Ensures all assembly tasks are completed to meet customers’ specifications and within company’s guidelines. Inspects assembled products to ensure accuracy and document issues requiring attention. Implements continuous improvement practice to reduce errors Provides assistance to production process Evaluates finished products and performs quality checks on products. Assembles units and performs modification and repair work as needed. Performs other duties as assigned, following written and verbal instructions. Completes wiring of equipment by following wiring diagrams. ESSENTIAL Requirements/Qualifications Minimum of 2 years’ Mechanical Assembly experience Ability to assemble CNC machined equipment with precise tolerances High School Diploma or equivalent Must be able to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints Experience working with precision tools Display good judgment and decision-making ability Knowledge of standard shop/warehouse procedures. Practice safety measures Ability to communicate at all levels Proficiency in basic math calculations Ability to lift 50lbs.
