Known for its collaborative culture, strong leadership accessibility, and commitment to work-life balance, the firm offers long-term career growth within a supportive environment.Position SummaryThe Tax Senior I is responsible for managing and reviewing complex tax engagements, supervising staff accountants, conducting tax research, and developing strong client relationships. This role requires strong technical expertise in federal and state tax regulations, public accounting experience, and the ability to lead multiple tax engagements efficiently.The ideal candidate will possess a CPA license, strong analytical skills, and hands-on experience with tax preparation, tax planning, and client advisory services in a public accounting environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTax Compliance & PreparationPrepare and review complex tax returns for:Individuals (1040)Partnerships (1065)Corporations (1120/1120S)Estates & Trusts (1041)Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.Interpret and apply relevant Internal Revenue Code (IRC) sections and tax regulations.Manage multiple tax engagements and deadlines during busy seasons.Tax Research & AdvisoryConduct advanced tax research using professional tax research tools and reference materials.Identify tax planning opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to clients.Assist with resolving tax notices, compliance issues, and technical tax matters.Stay current with changing tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory updates.Leadership & Client ManagementSupervise, mentor, and review work performed by staff accountants.Support in-house tax training and professional development initiatives.Build and maintain long-term client relationships through responsive communication and trusted advisory support.Coordinate directly with managers and partners on client engagements and workflow management.Operational & Team SupportFollow firm policies, procedures, and quality control standards.Assist with workflow management, engagement planning, and project execution.Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting and advisory teams.Required QualificationsCPA license required.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting preferred.3–7 years of relevant public accounting experience.Strong knowledge of:Federal and state taxationIRC regulationsTax compliance and reportingTax research methodologiesExperience supervising or mentoring junior accounting staff.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Proficiency with tax preparation software and accounting systems.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.Preferred Skills & KeywordsPublic Accounting, Tax Senior, CPA, Tax Compliance, Tax Advisory, Tax Planning, Corporate Tax, Partnership Tax, Individual Tax Returns, Estate & Trust Taxation, IRS Regulations, IRC Sections, Tax Research, Accounting Firm, Financial Reporting, Staff Supervision, Client Relationship Management, Federal Tax, State Tax, Tax Engagements, Accounting Software, Leadership, Workflow Management, Professional Services, Mentoring, Audit Support, Tax Preparation Software, Compliance Reporting.Benefits & PerksPerformance-based bonus opportunitiesComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageEmployer-paid life insuranceRetirement savings plan with employer contributionsProfit-sharing programCareer advancement and leadership development opportunitiesCollaborative and supportive work cultureStrong work-life balance focus
