Laboratory Manager

Department 0729 - Clinical and Diagnostic SciencesPosition InformationMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a health-related field, education, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a clinical, educational, or simulation laboratory setting.Knowledge of basic medical procedures, equipment, and infection control practices.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced academic environment.Desired QualificationsClinical background (e.g., PA, RN, EMT , RT, or similar healthcare role).Experience in PA, medical, nursing, or allied health education.Familiarity with simulation technology and standardized patient programs.Experience supporting OSCEs or competency-based assessments.All QualificationsUnless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.Position DetailsPosition PurposeThe Laboratory Manager for the Physician Assistant Program is responsible for the coordination, operation, and continuous improvement of each program’s clinical skills and instructional laboratories. This role ensures that laboratory instruction, equipment, supplies, and safety practices support high-quality education and align with each program’s learning outcomes and institutional policies.The Laboratory Manager works collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students to support didactic skills and laboratory instruction while maintaining a safe, organized, and effective learning environment.Job Open Date 05/21/2026Job Close Date
