We are preparing learners in Pasco County, Pre-K through 12th grade, for high school, college, and the workforce by delivering world-class education through the arts in a collaborative environment fueled by a passion for learning.Dayspring Academy is committed to its policy of offering equal employment opportunities for all persons regardless of race, religion, color, gender, ethnicity, national origin, age, marital status, or disability and acknowledges veteran preference in employment.Starting Salary: $48,000Additional Compensation: Eligible for referendum supplement, starting at $3,000, based on years of experience as a certified teacherAnticipated Start Date: August 2026RESPONSIBILITESDuties of this position include but are not limited to:Instructional PracticeAssume personal responsibility for the academic progress of all students.Implement a coherent, research-based curriculum based upon Florida standards and Core Knowledge content sequence that is documented with curriculum maps, unit plans, and daily lesson plans.Document all syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, rubrics, and other instructional materials and methods.Use consistent school-wide practices and individualized methods to engage students in the classroom.Provide varied instructional techniques and opportunities through technology, individual practice and/or guided groups designed to meet the educational, social, and emotional needs of students.Classroom ManagementCreate, monitor, and sustain a disciplined school culture of high academic and behavioral standards.Provide structure in the classroom by developing and reinforcing school-wide rules and expectations.Ensure smooth operation of all classroom instructional functions without excuses or exceptions.Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment and facilities.Data AnalysisDevelop and use a variety of assessment data to refine curricula and instructional practice.Evaluate academic achievement through detailed data analysis of student performance.Collaborate vertically and horizontally with teaching teams across campuses to ensure student success across content areas and grade levels.Student Support and School CultureCommunicate effectively and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to cultivate character driven citizenship, high expectations and a culture of learning for all: staff, students, and families.Successfully integrate technology throughout the curriculum, instruction, and assessment environments.Uphold a professional demeanor, strong work-ethic, detail-driven work style with excellent organizational skills.Retain a commitment to getting the job done well, no matter what the obstacles or how long it takes.Dedicated to student success and to building relationships through activities outside of the normal work day such as arts productions, after school clubs, and school-wide events.REPORTS TOCampus PrincipalRequirementsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:All employees must be fingerprinted and pass a background screening process by the Clearinghouse.Bachelor's degree.Applicants must have a valid FLDOE teaching certificate or current Statement of Eligibility issued by FLDOE in the teaching field. Recent college graduates may apply without having either document, but will be required to apply for initial certification prior to being offered a position.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Graduate work beyond the bachelor's degreeClassroom teaching experienceDemonstrates a results-driven track record with experience in, and commitment to, standards-based curriculum and the use of data and assessments to drive instructional decisionsDemonstrates quantifiable and objective student performance gains that surpass local averagesDemonstrates experience as a successful manager of creative and innovative classrooms who have used discipline, structure, appropriate incentives, and high expectations to achieve measurable academic and civic successSalary Description
