Investment AnalystFull-Time |Minneapolis, MN | Wealth ManagementPosition OverviewOur client, a well-established and growing independent wealth management firm in the Minneapolis area, is seeking an Investment Analyst to join its Portfolio Management team. This role is central to delivering the quality of investment services that clients expect—working in close collaboration with Advisors, the Operations Team, and the Portfolio Management Team to execute portfolio trades and oversee client portfolios with precision and care.Primary ResponsibilitiesTradingImplement equity, fixed income, and fund trades for client portfoliosReview fund holdings for inter-class exchanges; process updates and coordinate informational letters to clientsMonitor fixed income bond ratings across client holdingsAssist with reviewing cash balance holdings in client portfoliosSupport the portfolio rebalancing process and partner with advisors and the operations team to enhance rebalancing workflowsMaintain and monitor block trading schedulesImplement trades in outside accounts, including 401(k) rebalances and HSA tradesClient ServicesCompile portfolio analysis reports and assist with investment recommendationsProvide asset coding to the Operations Specialist to update securities coding in Advisor ViewGenerate Advisor View, Rebalancer, and ad hoc reports as neededAssist in the performance review of quarterly reports, as neededDue DiligenceAttend firm Investment Committee meetingsAssist the Investment Specialist with IQSS™ reporting and other assigned projectsSupport the review of fund holdings in client portfolios, including additions of new funds to the IQSS™ platformAssist with performance audits of fund managers, SMAs, and other investment vehiclesAdditional ResponsibilitiesServe as backup for the Portfolio Management Specialist across various operational functionsProvide backup support for other operational duties and tasks as neededComplete assigned projects as directed by leadershipQualifications & RequirementsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree (4-year) required3–7 years of experience in the financial services industry requiredMinimum 1–3 years of hands-on trading experience with mutual funds, ETFs, stocks, and bonds requiredExperience trading on the Schwab platform strongly preferredSkills & CompetenciesExceptional attention to detail with a strong orientation toward numbers and data accuracyEntrepreneurial mindset with a genuine interest in contributing to the growth of the firmTeam-oriented with strong collaboration and communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel requiredExperience with Tamarac and/or Tamarac Rebalancer a plusComfort with learning and adapting to evolving software and technical toolsScheduleExpected weekly hours average 40–44 hours, with variability based on quarter-end reporting cycles and project demands
