Title: Director, BenefitsLocation: Houston, TXSalary: Salary to be discussed by Bryant Staffing Solutions RecruiterBonus: 20-30%Visa Support: No Visa Sponsorship AvailableOverview:A leading healthcare organization is seeking a senior-level Director of Benefits to lead the strategy, design, and execution of comprehensive employee benefits programs. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of benefits administration, ensuring regulatory compliance, and aligning total rewards strategies with organizational goals. The position also leads vendor relationships and a team of benefits professionals while driving innovation and efficiency across programs.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefits programs, including health, welfare, and retirement plansEnsure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations (ERISA, IRS, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, etc.)Oversee vendor relationships including consultants, brokers, actuaries, and third-party administratorsCollaborate with HR leadership to align benefits strategy with broader Total Rewards initiativesEvaluate and enhance benefits offerings to remain competitive and cost-effectiveDevelop and track metrics to assess program effectiveness and ROIPartner with HRIS and IT teams to improve systems, automation, and employee experienceProvide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the benefits teamServe as escalation point for complex benefits issues and process improvementsSupport communication strategies to ensure employees understand available benefitsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fieldMinimum 10 years of experience managing benefits programs, including design, implementation, and complianceDirect experience within a healthcare environmentStrong knowledge of retirement plans (401(k), pension, 403(b)) and health & welfare programsDemonstrated leadership experience managing teams and driving strategic initiativesExperience working with HRIS systemsPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in a related fieldProfessional certifications such as CEBS or CBPExperience with wellness program developmentExposure to value-based or alternative healthcare benefit modelsKey Skills Required:Benefits strategy and program designRegulatory compliance and risk managementVendor management and contract negotiationLeadership and team developmentData analysis and ROI measurementWhy This Location?Houston offers a dynamic mix of urban living and cultural diversity, with world-class dining, entertainment, and arts.
