POSITION: Temporary LandscapingCATEGORY: Classified - TEMPORARYDEPARTMENT: MaintenanceLOCATION: WarehouseREPORTS TO: Maintenance ManagerSUMMARY: To ensure and support the timely completion of all landscaping projects.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for the following landscaping duties:Lawn mowingTrimmingEdgingPruningWeedingAssisting with the installation and repair of underground sprinkler systemsKeep buildings and premises, including sidewalks, roof drains, driveways, and play areas neat and clean at all timesTrim, mow, water, and weed all planted areas as necessaryEnsure that sport fields are mowed for athletic eventsMaintain tools and equipment and guard against breakage, loss, and theftOperate all maintenance vehicles in a safe and lawful mannerRemain on school premises for entire shift unless required to leave for work-related errands or meetingsAssist with the set-up and coordination of school and public use of facilitiesAssume responsibility for his or her continuing professional growth and development through such efforts as attendance at inservicesKeep immediate supervisor informed of activities and any issues that may ariseRepresent the school district in a positive mannerKnow and follow school district policy and chain of commandPerform other duties as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NoneQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
