H.S. Summer School Teacher
Program Summary:
Summer School for grades 9-12 will focus on helping students recover lost credit during their high school career to get them back on track for graduation. LHS will offer both in person courses as well as online courses. All students will be expected to attend daily.

4 days/week:
Session 1: June 15, 2026 - June 25 ,2026 and July 6, 2026 - July 9, 2026
Session 2: July 13, 2026 - July 30, 2026
Daily hours: 8:30 - 12:00 pm (additional 30 minutes/day for planning = 4 work hrs/day)
Job Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons using high-yield teaching strategies.
Conduct daily progress monitoring on individual students to track progress over time. ? Contact parents with updates, as needed, and respond to parent questions and concerns in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university
Valid Michigan teaching certificate
Preferred Experience:
Experience planning and facilitating differentiated small group instruction
Training in Trauma-Informed practices
Training in culturally responsive teaching practices
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Create a safe learning environment where all students are supervised in all school spaces.
