Radiology Tech Location: Tulsa, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,110 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/12/2026 About the Position Job Title: Radiology Technologist Profession: Clinical Professional Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 Shift: W1: Mon/Tues/Wed 700p-730a; W2: Sun/Mon/Wed 700p-730a with call Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Zero (0) to six (6) months of related experience License: Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology (ARRT-R) Certifications: BLS certified through AHA Must-Have: - Working knowledge of digital radiography (DR) and/or computerized radiography (CR) equipment, techniques, and protocols - Excellent customer service and communication skills - Ability to work as a team and collaborate with co-workers as well as independently - Positive attitude, self-motivated, and dependable - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly - Capacity to adapt to changing conditions and work responsibilities - Ethical and professional behavior at all times - Basic computer skills - Capable of wearing lead aprons for an extended period of time Description: Operates radiology equipment to produce radiographic images of the body for diagnostic routine purposes. Positions radiologic equipment and adjusts controls to set exposure time and distance according to specifications of the examination. Takes x-rays following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety. Retrieves radiologic orders from and inputs related data into electronic medical records. Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Escorts patients to the dressing and x-ray rooms, provides verbal and/or written instructions, and assists patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed. Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation. Positions patients on examining tables and adjusts positioning devices to obtain optimum views of specified areas of the body requested by physicians. Operates specialized equipment according to protocols under limited physician supervision. Provides patient care within a broad range of healthcare needs, including ER, fluoroscopy, portable imaging, and outpatient imaging centers. Moves radiographic equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set graphic exposure factors based on knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques and protocols. Practices radiation protection techniques using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding skills, and knowledge of applicable exposure factors to minimize radiation to patients and staff. Obtains acceptable radiologic images using CR/DR techniques and protocols. Ensures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and maintaining equipment inventories. Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisors or managers. Maintains examination rooms and orders and stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies per established protocols. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols. Follows drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs and administers first aid using emergency equipment. Supports department goals through personal improvements and educational activities. Attends mandatory in-services and meets departmental education standards. Modifies behaviors or performance to comply with care standards and meets departmental requirements. Aides in collection of statistics and presents findings in a logical and professional manner for process improvement. Maintains professional standards in conjunction with practice standards recommended by relevant societies. In an inpatient setting, assists with monitoring patient levels of moderate sedation based on procedures performed and clinical state. Initiates additional patient comfort measures for sedation as appropriate. Assures informed consent is obtained prior to the start of procedures, addressing all patient questions and concerns. Actively participates in protocols for all invasive procedures. Knowledgeable of procedural pauses and performs appropriate patient care in a sterile environment under supervision. Demonstrates independent judgment in planning sequence of operations and making minor decisions in a complex technical or professional field. Works directly with patients and/or customers. Interacts with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face-to-face. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals and staff.
