Experience the culture of a close-knit private practice model with the benefits of a well-resourced, and expanding health care system.Serving a large population with a variety of general endocrine disorders, using a team-based approach toward diabetes wellness and prevention, the Chief of Endocrinology will be responsible for:On-site supervision of providers and educators; including annual review and privilegingCollaboration with Administrative Director on day-to-day operations, including compliance with JCAHO & DPH regulations.Collaboration on strategy, development and enhancement of inpatient and outpatient programs, including recruitment.Collaboration with inpatient educators and chart audits for hypoglycemia in East Region; participate in glycemic management with inpatient educator.Participation in quality and risk management for inpatient and outpatient services for Backus Hospital & Hartford HealthCare Medical Group (HCMG).Implementation of outpatient and inpatient protocols at Backus Hospital in alignment with HHC protocols for the Endocrine Service Line.Participation in quality safety meetings, endocrine councils and all other committees, as needed.Hartford HealthCare Medical Group, a physician-led organization affiliated with Hartford HealthCare, delivers primary care and over 30 specialty-care services throughout the State of CT.
