This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mission-critical internal applications that drive operational visibility, decision-making, and execution across Saronic’s growing portfolio of Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV) programs.You will work at the intersection of software engineering and program operations, building tools that connect real-time production data, program governance, demand forecasting, and customer engagement into a unified digital thread. Our application portfolio runs on Palantir Foundry and modern web technologies, and our team leverages AI-assisted development workflows to ship at startup speed with enterprise-grade impact.This is a high-ownership role. You will take features from concept to production, collaborate directly with program managers, engineers, production leads, and executives, and see your work used daily to support national security missions.ResponsibilitiesApplication Development & MaintenanceDesign, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React for front-end and back-end componentsBuild and extend applications within the Palantir Foundry ecosystem, including data pipelines, ontology-backed applications, and Foundry-native integrationsDevelop scalable, responsive interfaces that serve internal stakeholders across Programs, Finance, Production, and EngineeringOptimize application performance, reliability, and security through testing, code review, and performance tuningData Integration & Platform Engineering Integrate applications with enterprise systems (MES, ERP, CRM) and third-party APIs to ensure interoperability across the digital threadBuild and maintain data models, pipelines, and integrations within Palantir Foundry to power real-time operational dashboards and analyticsCollaborate with the Foundry platform team and Palantir embedded engineers to ensure alignment on architecture, data standards, and shared infrastructureAI-Assisted Development & ToolingLeverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate build cycles and maintain high development velocityContribute to the design of agentic workflows and internal development frameworks that scale the team’s capacitySupport citizen development initiatives by building guardrails, templates, and reusable components for non-developer teamsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Program Managers, Directors, and operational leads to translate business requirements into technical solutionsParticipate in Agile development practices including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectivesSupport customer-facing application development, including portals and reporting tools that represent Saronic’s brand and missionBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer working with JavaScript, TypeScript, and ReactSolid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithmsExperience with server-side development using Node.js or PythonFamiliarity with relational database systems and data modeling conceptsProficiency with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelinesAbility to operate in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment with shifting prioritiesPreferred QualificationsExperience with Palantir Foundry, including Pipeline Builder, ontology design, or Foundry-native application developmentExperience building applications that integrate with MES, ERP, or production management systemsFamiliarity with AI-assisted development tools and workflowsExperience in defense, national
