Machine Operator

Location: Niles, OH Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour Position Overview This role is ideal for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with industrial equipment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining machinery to ensure optimal performance, product quality, and workplace safety. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and adjust manufacturing machinery according to production specifications and work orders Monitor machine performance Interpret basic technical instructions, blueprints, or production documentation to ensure accurate operation Load raw materials into machines and safely remove, inspect, and stage finished products Perform routine equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor troubleshooting to minimize downtime Identify mechanical or operational issues and communicate them promptly to maintenance or supervisory staff Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to transport materials and finished goods safely and efficiently Maintain accurate production records, including output counts, downtime, and quality checks Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment in accordance with 5S or similar workplace practices Required Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years of experience operating industrial or manufacturing machinery Proven experience operating an overhead crane and forklift (certification preferred) Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to lift up to 65 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks Basic computer proficiency for data entry, machine interfaces, or production tracking systems Ability to read and interpret technical documents, gauges, and measurement tools Solid understanding of workplace safety standards and procedures Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control Benefits Opportunities for career growth and advancement within the company Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, and more) available after the probationary period Stable, full-time schedule with consistent weekday hours COM115 Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
