Senior Accountant (Fort Myers)

Robert Half is currently recruiting for an established country club in the Fort Myers area that has and immediate need for a Senior Club Accountant. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong financial reporting skills, attention to detail, and experience supporting club, hospitality, or private membership operations. The Senior Club Accountant will help manage the day-to-day accounting functions, ensure accurate financial records, and support leadership with timely reporting and analysis.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedulesReconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and balance sheet itemsAssist with month-end and year-end close processesMonitor cash flow, budgets, and variance reportingMaintain fixed asset and depreciation schedulesSupport accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting activitiesEnsure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirementsAssist with audit preparation and respond to auditor requestsPartner with department leaders to analyze financial performance and identify trendsHelp improve accounting processes and reporting efficienciesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in club, hospitality, real estate, or service-based environmentsStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reportingExperience with general ledger reconciliations, month-end close, and budgetingProficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft ExcelStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
