If you are passionate about driving innovation and shaping the future of test and measurement solutions, join Pickering Interfaces and be a key player in our dynamic and customer-centric environment.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support to customers by diagnosing hardware and software issues for PXI systems, modules, and drivers.Technical Consultation: Collaborate with customers to comprehend their technical requirements and challenges within the test and measurement industry.Custom Solutions: Design, develop, and implement customized applications and interface solutions using Pickering Interfaces’ products to meet client specifications.Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions to showcase the capabilities of Pickering Interfaces’ hardware and software solutions.Pre-sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise in pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, solution proposals, and customer interactions.Post-sales Support: Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshoot issues, and guide customers through successful integration and utilization of Pickering Interfaces’ solutions.Create, modify, and debug example code and driver wrappers in LabVIEW, C#, C++, and Python to reproduce and resolve issues.Develop and present hardware/software pre-sales proofs-of-concept/demos to external customers online or in person.Analyze diagnostic/error reports, logs, test outputs, and product data/spec sheets.Provide real time support via online web chat.Answer customer questions on Pickering products via email, phone call, or through online web chat.Coordinate cross-team investigations with Software Engineering, Repair/Manufacturing, Product Management, and Sales to drive root-cause analysis and fixes.Participate and demonstrate to customers in marketing conferences as technical resource.Develop and test examples for customer delivery, including driver-specific examples (VISA/Direct I/O/IVI), and support deployment with NI tools such as NI MAX, TestStand, and Switch Executive.Knowledge Sharing: Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and Pickering Interfaces’ product updates. Share insights and best practices with customers and internal teams.Coordinate and manage hardware RMA returns between customers and internal teams.Manage RMAs end to end, including fault verification, coordination with manufacturing and repair teams, and customer communication.Feedback and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, to provide valuable feedback on product performance, contribute to improvements, and influence the development of new features.General engineering support to customers.Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including application notes and technical guides, to enhance the knowledge base and support both internal and external stakeholders.Collaborate closely with Field Sales Engineers, Regional Sales Managers, and Business Development Managers to understand customer issues and provide technical assistance.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills): To perform the job successfully, the individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Excellent understanding of basic electrical concepts, preferably with prior experience with ATE, PXI/PXIe, switching and/or data acquisition systems.An excellent cross-channel communicator.Comfortable analyzing logs, errors/diagnostic reports, and data sheets and collecting the right artifacts from customers.Due to the nature of target customers for this position, it is only open to US citizens or US Green Card holders; Pickering will not sponsor any visa or Green Card requirements.Highly customer focused with customer service orientation.A proactive can-do and positive attitude.Strong analytical skills.Proven ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with customers and to interface with a variety of organizations.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Available to travel across the country and abroad as necessary.Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Salesforce.com, and database applications.Required SkillsPrevious experience in application engineering, with a focus on test and measurement solutions.Familiarity with Pickering Interfaces’ products is advantageous.In-depth knowledge of ATE, PXI/PXIe, switching and or data acquisition systems.Proficiency in at least 1 programming language common within the T&M space (LabVIEW, Python, C++, C#, etc).Knowledge of NI Ecosystem: NI MAX, TestStand, Switch Executive.Familiarity with multiple Operating Systems (Windows 10/11, Linux Distributions, NI Real Time).A history of working within US government prime contractors and demonstrable networks within one/multiple primes is strongly preferred (Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Honeywell, Boeing, Collins).Preferred SkillsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering preferred.
