Accounting ManagerFull-Time | Greater Sacramento/Davis AreaOverviewA well-established organization in the Greater Sacramento/Davis area is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for the month-end close process, financial reporting, internal controls, and team leadership, while partnering cross-functionally to support strategic business decisions.We are looking for a collaborative, hands-on leader who enjoys improving processes, developing people, and ensuring accuracy and compliance across all accounting functions.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee general ledger activities including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliationsManage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closePrepare and review financial statements, KPIs, cash flow forecasts, and balance sheet budgetsMaintain and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in compliance with US GAAPEnsure compliance with SOX / J-SOX requirements across all accounting cyclesPartner with third-party providers on tax compliance and audit supportReview consolidated financial reporting and variance analysesLead, mentor, and develop accounting team members; provide ongoing feedback and performance supportCollaborate cross-functionally to support operational and strategic initiativesParticipate in special projects, ad-hoc analysis, and process improvement effortsRequired Skills & QualificationsStrong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skillsAdvanced Excel skills; strong proficiency in Microsoft OfficeExperience with ERP/accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics D365 experience a plus)Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standardsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentHighly organized, proactive, and detail-orientedEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration requiredProgressive accounting or finance leadership experience requiredPrior people management or supervisory experience requiredPublic accounting experience with a multi-national firm strongly desiredWhy This RoleLeadership visibility and opportunity to influence process improvementsStable organization with strong governance practicesCompetitive compensation for the local marketOpportunity to grow and develop a high-performing accounting teamEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate toThe Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:• The California Fair Chance Act• Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance• Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers• San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance
