QA ENGINEERS WANTED | AUTOMATION + PLAYWRIGHT | LONG-TERM FREELANCEI’m currently supporting a leading European digital technology consultancy specialising in AI, data, software engineering and digital transformation, and they’re looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join their team on a long-term freelance engagement.The Role: Position: QA EngineerLocation: Fully Remote – EuropeContract: FreelanceStart Date: 1 October 2026Duration: Until the end of 2027 + potential extensionExperience: 3–4 yearsDaily Rate: NegotiableInterview Process: 1-stage interviewJob Responsibilities: You’ll work across both manual and automated testing, helping ensure the quality, reliability and performance of modern software applications.The role is approximately 50% manual testing / 50% automation testing, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable working across the full QA lifecycle.Key responsibilities include:Designing and executing manual test cases and test scenariosDeveloping and maintaining automated test suitesBuilding robust end-to-end automation using PlaywrightIdentifying, documenting and tracking defectsPerforming regression, functional and integration testingCollaborating closely with developers, product teams and other QA engineersSupporting continuous improvement of testing processes and best practicesEnsuring software releases meet defined quality standardsKey Requirements: Essential:3–4 years of commercial experience as a QA Engineer / Test EngineerStrong experience across both manual and automated testingStrong test automation skillsHands-on experience with PlaywrightExperience with functional and regression testingStrong understanding of QA methodologies and testing best practicesAbility to create clear test cases and identify/report defects effectivelyExperience working within Agile development environmentsStrong communication and collaboration skillsGood English communication skillsJob Benefits: Fully remote – work from anywhere in EuropeLong-term freelance engagement through to the end of 2027Potential for further extensionModern technology and engineering environmentStrong focus on automation and quality engineering1-stage interview process1 October 2026 startNegotiable daily rate📩 Interested?
