Come join our team!Delivery Truck Drivers are responsible for the delivery and/or removal of waste or recycling carts and bins to customers. Delivery Drivers must safely operate the vehicle, as well as provide courteous service to customers.Responsibilities Of PositionOperate a truck and safely perform job duties in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policiesDeliver waste and recycling carts and bins to customers and vendorsComplete proper documentation on deliveries and removalsConduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and complete logsMaintain and update work ordersProfessionally interact with co-workers, and internal/external customers, providing excellent customer service to allAssist in other projects or areas as neededOperate other types of trucks as neededPerform other duties as assignedSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position will not manage employeesSkills & Abilities Needed For PositionAbility to read and understand a map/GPSExcellent truck driving/maneuvering skillsGeneral knowledge of vehicle mechanicsAbility to use small power tools for basic repairs on containersAbility to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customersExperience & Knowledge Needed For PositionWaste industry experience, a plus1-2 years of previous experience driving a large company van or truck, preferredPhysical Requirements In a Regular WorkdayContinuously lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 20 lbsFrequently lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 35 lbsOccasionally lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 50 lbsRarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 75 lbsContinuously working outside in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditionsContinuously working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matterOccasionally stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawlingContinuously climbing and/or balancingFrequently sitting/standing/walking in an office environmentAdditional Working Conditions/AspectsMust have a valid DOT Medical Card or able to obtain prior to hireMust be at least 19 years of ageNo more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 yearsMust not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 yearsPossible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areasExposure to residential and commercial wasteAbility to travel between offices, as requiredAbility to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as neededAbility to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidaysLegally eligible to work in the United StatesValid driver’s license (if applicable)Must successfully complete pre-employment testingMust be able to read and speak the English languageThis job description is intended to describe the general nature, complexity, and level of work to be performed by employees assigned to this position and is not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and/or skills required.
