A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. 750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - PCU Stepdown Job Details: • Work in 10-bed Progressive Care Unit • Day/Night rotation schedule with 36 hours per week • On-call responsibilities required • Must have experience with arterial lines, ventriculostomies, subdural drains, and lumbar drains • Required skills include hemodynamic monitoring and invasive blood pressure monitoring through arterial lines • Must be comfortable with Bi-PAP/C-PAP equipment and tracheostomy patients on ventilators • Experience needed with low dose pressors, vasoactive medications, and inotropes • Must be familiar with Mannitol and 3% saline administration • Handle complex wound care and post-surgical patients with various lines, tubes, and drains • Care for patients with medical conditions including neuromuscular disorders and meningitis • Support primary stroke center operations and traumatic brain injury patients • Manage spinal cord injury patients and post-surgical cases including tumor resections • Assist with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus trials involving lumbar drains Facility: This medical center operates a specialized 10-bed Progressive Care Unit that serves as a primary stroke center, providing comprehensive care for complex neurological and neurosurgical patients. The facility specializes in treating conditions including traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and various neuromuscular disorders, while also performing advanced procedures such as brain and spine tumor resections and spinal surgeries. The unit maintains high-level monitoring capabilities and supports patients requiring intensive observation and specialized neurological interventions. Location: Lebanon, NH Lebanon offers a charming New England setting in the beautiful Upper Valley region, surrounded by scenic mountains and outdoor recreation opportunities. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
