Explore Gentex today!Position OverviewMain point of contact for the Information Technology (IT) Helpdesk and to assist in support duties to ensure smooth delivery of technology services.What You’ll DoManage all incoming ticket, phone, email and walkup support requests. Perform system setups on new PCs for Gentex employees. Manage and track IT inventory in the Helpdesk stockroom. Receive IT inventory and schedule with users pickup or install of technology. Manage IT repairs from third-party vendors. Purchase inventory when needed. Help users triage requests and issues. Assist in IT repairs. Other duties as assigned. How You’ll Do ItCommunicating effectively – Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey clear understanding, taking into account the unique needs of different audiences. Customer focus – Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions. Individual efficiency -Effectively managing time and resources so that individual work is completed efficiently. Maintaining high level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality with respect to company matters. Complying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace. What To BringHigh school diploma or equivalent. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to work nonstandard hours and/or holidays as needed. What Will HelpAssociate’s degree in information technology or other related field. 1-2 years of IT software and hardware experience. Basic knowledge of computer networks including TCP/IP, wireless and printers preferred. Inventory experience. Customer service experience.
