Maintenance Worker

About the Position We are looking for a dependable, hardworking *Maintenance Worker* to join our resort in Marathon, Fl. This position is responsible for keeping our buildings, grounds, and common areas clean, safe, functional, and well maintained. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, can work independently, has good attention to detail, and is comfortable handling a variety of maintenance and repair tasks. Responsibilities * Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel and cabins * Repair doors, locks, windows, screens, furniture, and cabinets * Inspect cabins and guest rooms for maintenance issues * Respond to maintenance requests from management * Maintain outdoor areas, walkways, decks, and other property areas * Help with pool and outdoor property maintenance as needed * Assist with preventative maintenance to help avoid costly repairs * Keep maintenance tools and work areas organized * Follow all safety procedures and hotel policies * Respond quickly to urgent maintenance issues affecting guests * Perform other maintenance duties as they are assigned * Make sure guest trash is empty Qualifications * *Previous hotel, resort, apartment, construction, or general maintenance experience preferred* * *Ability to troubleshoot problems and find practical solutions* * *Must be dependable and able to work independently* * *Good communication and customer-service skills* * *Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests* * *Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials* * *Ability to work indoors and outdoors in Florida weather* * *Valid driver's license* * *HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or other maintenance certifications are a plus* What We Offer * Competitive hourly pay based on experience * Full-time hours * *Employee discounts/benefits may be available* * Friendly work environment * Opportunity for long-term employment and advancement The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is *reliable, honest, hardworking, and takes pride in keeping a property looking its best*.
