We are seeking an experienced mammographer to join a team of patient-centered professionals at the Women’s Imaging Center at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, NY.SIGN ON BONUS & RELOCATION ELIGIBLE: External candidates who have not worked within the network in the past year are eligible to receive a sign on bonus of $15,000. Relocation assistance of $9,200 is available for candidates who are joining us from a distance that is greater than 50 miles from their previous role and home. Apply today and our recruiter can share more information with you!Job DescriptionPerforms mammography procedures on patients as ordered by physicians and health care providers in an ethical and professional manner according to hospital and department policy and according to the ACR, MQSA, and the New York State Department of Health Guidelines. Must assist in all aspects of the Women's Imaging Center’s procedures and quality control.Hours/ShiftsMonday through Friday 9:30am-6pm. Call is not required.QualificationsMust be licensed by the New York State Department of Health. Must be MQSA certified and meet mandated education.Must be registered ARRT Radiographer (R) and Mammography (M). Active status must be maintained in both areas.Must have three years mammography experience in a hospital setting, excluding training time.Requires sufficient sensitivity and interpersonal skills in dealing with apprehensive patients and families in a professional and compassionate manner.Requires positive and effective communicating skills for interaction with physicians and staff in any situation.Requires an ability to think and act quickly in order to deliver efficient quality care in a variety of stressful situations.May be required to perform breast ultrasound.Must be BLS certified (or obtained within 3 months)WHY CHAMPLAIN VALLEY PHYSICIANS HOSPITAL (CVPH)?
