Accounting Analyst (Kansas City)

Senior Accounting AnalystResults-driven accounting and finance professional with experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis. Strong background in month-end close, general ledger oversight, variance analysis, and process improvement. Skilled at turning financial data into meaningful business insights and improving reporting accuracy and efficiency.Responsibilities:• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis• Support month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation• Monitor costs, cash flow, and operational performance trends• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning initiatives• Support audit preparation, compliance reporting, and internal controls• Identify process improvements and reporting efficiencies• Partner cross-functionally with operational and leadership teams to provide financial insight• Provide backup support across AP, AR, and cash management functions as neededQualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred• 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience• Cost accounting experience preferred• Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP• Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems preferred• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities• Collaborative and adaptable in fast-paced environments• Process improvement and continuous improvement mindset
