Come join our team! Industrial Waste Sales Representatives secure accounts from existing and potential customers by prospecting and generating new business leads. This position requires cold calling on commercial accounts in the field and working with Regional outside sales staff to generate industrial waste sales as well as ensuring disposal compliance. Responsibilities of Position:Maintenance of all current industrial waste accountsIdentifies leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business to meet and exceed established revenue goalsEstablish professional internal and external customer/vendor relationships with appropriate personnelPrepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations to key decision makers to close the salePropose customer solutions that are compliant with appropriate local, state, and federal regulationsUtilize the company’s CRM tool on a daily basis, scheduling and documenting activities, and developing prospective customer profilesMaintain prospect information of sales territoryEnsure proper documentation for disposal compliancePerform data entry to populate electronic sales orders via the Sales Management System (SMS)Secure customer signatures on required Customer Service Agreements (unaltered)Review and submit reports for accuracy and other documentation in a timely mannerScreen incoming waste streams to ensure they meet the requirements of perspective landfill and transfer stationsInitiate and follow through on all waste profiles and re-certificationsPerform credit applications on all prospective customersDevelop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Rumpke’s services and pricing structurePerform other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibility:This position will not manage employees Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:Must possess strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skillsMust be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goalsMust present and communicate in a professional mannerExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be organized with good time management skillsPossess analytical/problem solving solutionsComputer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferredMinimum two (2) years outside business-to-business sales with a proven track record of success, requiredExperience in developing and executing territory sales strategies, requiredWaste industry experience a plus Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday:Occasionally lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 10 lbsRarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 20 lbsFrequently working outside in changing temperaturesContinuously sitting/standing/walking Additional Working Conditions/Aspects: Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areasExposure to residential and commercial wasteAbility to travel between offices, as requiredAbility to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as neededAbility to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidaysLegally eligible to work in the United StatesValid driver’s license (if applicable)Must successfully complete pre-employment testingMust be able to read and speak the English language This job description is intended to describe the general nature, complexity, and level of work to be performed by employees assigned to this position and is not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and/or skills required.
