Hourly All-In-Tutor (Pooled Position)

Job DescriptionAPS is seeking qualified candidates to fill Tutoring positions for Virginia's ALL In Tutoring Initiative at Multiple LocationsRESPONSIBILITIES:Prepares and tutors lessons in math and/or reading that range in length for small groups of students (grades 3 - 8). Responsible for monitoring student progress and communicating with school staff and families and participating in professional learning and training. This position reports to the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction or Designee.EXPERIENCE:KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESKnowledge on the rules, strategies, and best-practices of tutoring.QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMinimum of one (1) year of professional experience in a field related to the tutoring, or the delivery of instruction to a group of students in an education or child enrichment setting.1. Have completed at least 45 college credits OR,2. Be a current or retired licensed teacherNon-licensed tutors will be required to complete APS ALL- In Tutoring training with the APS All-In Tutoring Coordinator.SALARY-Current or retired licensed teacher: $50.28 per hourOther/non-licensed hires: $35.53 per hourArlington Public Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer
