Vice President of Operations
Port Procedures: Familiarity with port operations, including loading and unloading of cargo, terminal operations, and port security protocols.
Vessel Operations: Understanding of vessel scheduling, berthing, and cargo handling procedures.
Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of maritime laws and regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
Freight Forwarding: Experience with arranging and coordinating international shipments, including documentation, routing, and freight consolidation.
Ocean Carrier Relationships: Ability to negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with ocean carriers and shipping lines.
Customs Clearance: Proficiency in managing customs documentation and clearance processes for international shipments.
Understanding of Import Processes: Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import documentation.
Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL): Experience managing both FCL and LCL shipments, understanding the differences, and optimizing for cost and efficiency.
Air Freight Knowledge: Ability to handle air freight logistics, including knowledge of airline regulations, air waybills, and cargo security.
Team Development: Experience in mentoring and training team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Performance Management: Ability to set goals, provide feedback, and evaluate team performance.
Conflict Resolution: Skills in managing and resolving conflicts within the team and with external partners.
Process Optimization: Ability to analyze current processes and implement improvements for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
