Shipping Coordinator

Job Description Hours are flexible 6-2:30 or 7-3:30 or 8-4:30.Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to oversee outbound shipment operations in a warehouse environment. This role is responsible for coordinating palletization, labeling, staging, documentation, and carrier scheduling to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. The Shipping Coordinator does not physically load trucks but leads the organization and execution of all shipping activities from order release through freight pickup and tracking.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate outbound shipments to ensure orders are accurately prepared and shipped on scheduleLead the organization of palletizing, labeling, and staging items according to order requirementsDevelop and execute load plans to maximize truck capacity and shipment efficiencyProcess shipping orders within company systems with high attention to detailCreate and maintain master packing lists and Bills of Lading (BOLs)Schedule and manage shipments via parcel carriers (e.g., FedEx), LTL freight, and full truckload carriersTrack shipments and provide status updates internally and to customers as neededVerify shipment accuracy, documentation completeness, and compliance with shipping standardsCoordinate with warehouse, customer service, and logistics partners to resolve shipping issuesMaintain organized shipping records and ensure data accuracy in all systemsRequired QualificationsPrevious shipping coordination experience in a warehouse or distribution environmentStrong understanding of palletizing, labeling, staging, and load planning processesExperience scheduling FedEx shipments, LTL freight, and full truckload carriersProficiency in data entry and use of shipping or warehouse management systemsExperience preparing packing lists and Bills of LadingStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneouslyClear communication skills and ability to coordinate across teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience with inventory or warehouse management systems (WMS)Knowledge of freight terms, carrier requirements, and shipping documentation standardsExperience tracking freight and resolving delivery exceptionsWork EnvironmentWarehouse environment with regular interaction across operations teamsPrimarily coordination and administrative responsibilities rather than physical loadingCompany DescriptionLabor Solutions Professional is a leader in the professional, temporary, and direct hire industry.
