Java Developer – FIXLocation: Jersey City, NJ – Hybrid (3 Days Onsite, Locals Only) Type: Onsite Experience: 6–10 Years Domain: Banking (Required)OverviewOur client is seeking a Java Developer with strong experience in Equities trading systems and FIX connectivity to support front-office applications, system enhancements, and trading platform integrations.Responsibilities & QualificationsDevelop and support Java-based trading applications within equities environmentsWork on FIX protocol integrations, connectivity, and order routing systemsSupport and enhance FIX engines and drop copy flowsCollaborate with business and global teams to define technical solutions for trading initiativesManage system implementations, upgrades, and vendor integrationsParticipate in testing, deployment, and production support activitiesHandle client connectivity setups and FIX-related change requestsMonitor applications, troubleshoot issues, and support production stabilityImprove workflows to enhance efficiency, scalability, and automation (TOIL reduction)Maintain documentation for system flows, operations, and user processesRequirementsStrong hands-on experience in Java developmentExperience in Equities trading (Cash, Derivatives, Algo, DMA, Low/High Touch)Deep understanding of FIX protocol and trading connectivity platforms (ULLink preferred)Experience working in front-office trading or capital markets environmentsStrong application support and production troubleshooting experienceExperience with Linux/Windows environments and scripting (Shell, Python, Perl, etc.)Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo)Ability to work in high-pressure, global support environments (including occasional weekend support)Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
