DB2 DBA

Position: DB2 DBALocation: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin 100% OnsiteNote: "This role is not for a Data Engineer or Oracle DBA or Sql Server DBA"QUALIFICATIONS:        Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.8 plus years of experience in Database Management / Data Integration.Proficient in multiple Database Management Systems (e.g., DB2i, DB2 LUW, DataStax, Oracle, SQL Server).Proficient in multiple data replication technologies (e.g., DTShare, CDC, SQL Replication, Attunity)Ability to read a Logical Data Model a plus.Ability to lead and coach less experienced Database Administration staff.Certifications are a plus.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Work closely with application development project teams to ensure optimal application performance.Optimize database performance through a number of techniques including but not limited to: indexing, query optimization, database design.Design complex databases, tables, stored procedures, views, triggers, and other database objects.Design and develop ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) solutions.Participate in periodic High Availability / Disaster Recovery tests of critical systems.Provide day to day support for databases and database applications.Upgrade and patch DBMS’s. Ashwinashwin.r@macroflex.ai
