Located in Franklin, IN, the company stands out as a trusted partner in contract manufacturing.Machine Shop SupervisorGMI Corporation Franklin, Indiana, United States (On-site) JJOB SUMMARY:The Machine Shop Supervisor manages the activities on all three shop floor shifts.Responsible for maintaining production schedule with machining capacity, and people resources. This role will ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.RESPONSIBILTIESDirect work and managing Shift Supervisors, and machine operatorsMonitor product quality, address defects, and support root-cause solving and corrective actionsTrack performance metrics (scrap, downtime, labor hours, etc.)Implement safety rules and procedures, conduct basic safety checks, and respond to incidentsOversee shift changesTraining, coaching, and evaluate machine operators: cross training, feedback performanceQuality and technical support on shiftsEmployee relations, counseling, and reviewsOther dutiesREQUIREMENTSRegulatory Requirements: US Person qualified and No Felony Conviction3 + years in a machining production environment with 1+ years of leadership experienceSupervisory and training experienceKnowledge and applied experience of safety standardsUsing data to make critical decisionsAble to read and understand blueprintsComprehend reading and using gagesMultitask, manage multiple machinesCritical thinkingAbility to effectively communicate with all levels within an organizationEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor’s or equivalent experience3-5 years in a leadership roleAdvanced Excel, ERP, MS WordPHYSICAL DEMANDS25-50% of standing, walking production floor30 Lb. lifting, pushing, pullingRequired PPE in noted areasGMI C3 A.R.E ValuesAs employee-owners, these are the Values that guide us through our work and relationships at GMI.Customer FocusedConsistencyCommunication/CollaborationAccountabilityReliabilityEngagement of Culture
