Bakery Sales Associate

*PART TIME*PM AVAILABILITY PREFERRED$15.00 - $18.51 PER HOURGENERAL PURPOSE:The purpose of this position is to sell Harmons' fresh Bakery items by giving remarkable customer service. This person will educate customers about our Bakery products and assist them in choosing the right one for their needs. This person will package and label product, fill shelves and cases, pan product for the next day's needs, proof and bake product, and provide exceptional customer service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Follows established departmental and store policies and proceduresEnsures the quality and freshness of all products and services the Bakery providesResponsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the BakeryConfirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad itemsEnsures the Bakery is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearanceAssists customers with cake and special ordersWashes and puts away bowls, pans, and baking traysDelivers excellent customer service to all customersAccurately packages and labels Bakery productsFills shelves and cases with productRe-stocks the Bakery department and helps sort and put away Bakery products when deliveries come inMinimizes waste in the department by following production sheets, watching code dates, and appropriately rotating itemsAssist managers, bakers, cake decorators, and artisan bakers as neededMARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Mixes and scoops cookiesProofs and bakes itemsAssist customers by writing on cakesPerforms other job-related duties as assigned.NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS:Consistent and daily interaction with store associatesConsistent and daily interaction with customersTRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
