Job Title:Psychiatrist Addiction Medicine Outpatient Behavioral Health Lexington, KY LocumsJob Description:We are actively seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist for a locum tenens opportunity in Lexington, Kentucky within a structured outpatient addiction treatment setting.This position offers a predictable weekday schedule and focuses on substance use disorder treatment within a medically monitored program.If you are experienced in addiction medicine and value a collaborative, team-based clinical environment, this assignment provides strong structure and defined coverage needs.Position Highlights:• Location: Lexington, KY• Setting: Outpatient Addiction Treatment Program• Schedule: Monday Friday• Hours: 5:00 AM 1:30 PM• 40 hours per week• 3-month assignment with extension potential• No nights or traditional call• Interview with Medical DirectorClinical Environment:• Adult patient population• Substance use disorder treatment (MAT-focused)• Structured program setting• Medication management and physical assessments• Interdisciplinary collaboration with nursing and counseling staff• Leadership oversight within treatment programResponsibilities:• Psychiatric evaluations and admissions assessments• Medication management (Schedule II V)• Annual and re-admission physical exams• Review labs and adjust treatment plans• Participate in quality assurance and team meetings• Ensure compliance with state and federal addiction treatment regulationsRequirements:• MD or DO• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry• Active Kentucky medical license• Active DEA with prescriptive authority• Completion of ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency• Experience in addiction medicine or substance use treatment preferred• Comfort working in structured outpatient behavioral health programsCompensation:Compensation is competitive and based on overall background, experience, and fit for the assignment.
