Join our dynamic team at ManTech, where innovation meets excellence in the realm of advanced engineering. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electronic Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will support US Navy field teams performing installs, maintenance, repairs, overhauls, troubleshooting, and the tests of electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical equipment and related devices. The candidate will apply their technical knowledge to assist junior team members with the completion of assigned tasking.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Troubleshoot field equipment failures, documentation of maintenance and troubleshoot procedures, and performance of preventative maintenance of electronic equipment
Inspecting inventory and reordering materials and technical components
Analyzing operations and offering suggestions for improvement
Perform research, writing, editing, and revising of Navy technical documents
Perform field validations of various watercraft and equipment
Perform work between customer sites, shore sites, and/or on ships
Minimum Requirements:
An Associate’s degree in Electronic Technology or related field with a minimum of four (4) years of experience providing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting and/or assessment of electronic equipment or 6 years of experience in lieu of degree
Experience with AC/DC circuits
Experience with HF/VHF/UHF installation/troubleshooting
Experience with RF Connectors
Must have a US Passport
Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS as needed up to 50%
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with JIRA/Confluence is preferred
A NAVSEA Certification in Fiber Optic Termination
Tower Climber Certification
Education/Training in Electronics to include installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Building/Repairing Connectors
Security Clearance:
Must be US Citizen and hold an active Secret Security Clearance
Required to get a CAC badge as well as Base Security Access approval
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment.
