Winsert is seeking qualified candidates for Machine Set-Up in South Bend, Indiana!General Summary: Proficiently and safely setup and operate multi-axis machining equipment, using a variety of tools, measurement / inspection equipment to produce parts within conformance requirements and production standards.Pay: $30 - $35 per hour depending on experienceESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Perform setups and operate a variety of machinery including but not limited to: 4-axis, 5-axis, turning, mill/turn, 2-axis lathe equipment, grinding equipment, and/or Swiss machines.Change tool settings to keep product dimensions within specified tolerances.Inspect product to verify conformance within required specifications, using a variety of measurement and inspection equipment.Troubleshoot equipment for process/maintenance issues, collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering when necessary.Perform limited data collection requirements, such as SPC or daily production information.Machine Set-Up 2 must be proficient in one or more of the following additional areas in regards to setting up and operating: 4-axis, 5-axis, 2-axis turning, mill/turn, grind and Swiss work centers.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Knowledge and experience with: 4-axis, 5-axis, 2-axis turning, mill/turn, lathe equipment, grinding equipment, and/or Swiss machines. Excellent time management, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to use computer skills for ERP reporting and data entry. Ability to read and understand blueprints. Strong mechanical aptitude. Understanding of basic mathematics. Competent in both English and metric measurement scales. Ability to read, understand and edit G-code for CNC programs. Proficient in adjusting machining programs. Consistency, professionalism, and personal accountability are important attributes for this position. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Vision must be correctable to allow reading / viewing of documents and computer screen.Hearing must be correctable to allow understanding of instructions and communication with others.Mobility and coordination must allow for required tasks to be performed.Requires prolonged standing, frequent bending, stooping, reaching.Requires the ability to lift 50 pounds.Operation and use of overhead cranes and lifting devices.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 5 years experience in machining. Familiarity with conversational Mazak programming, Integrex lathe, Fanuc controllers, and/or Fusion CAD/CAM software is preferred. Technical training is preferred.
