Java Software Engineer

DescriptionMindex is looking for a Software Engineer to join our Software Development division. You'll design, build, and support enterprise applications using Java, Spring Framework, and modern development tools, applying AI-assisted engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle. You'll work closely with customers and cross-functional team members to understand business needs and deliver reliable software solutions. The ideal candidate is a curious, detail-oriented engineer who enjoys solving problems, collaborating with others, and growing their technical skills.Compensation$70,000 - $120,000What You'll AccomplishTranslate customer and business requirements into well-defined development tasks and technical solutions.Design and develop reliable software solutions aligned with overall application and service architecture.Develop and execute tests to ensure solutions meet agreed-upon requirements.Provide ongoing support and enhancements for new and existing systems and platforms.Systematically troubleshoot and debug application issues.Apply security best practices and collaborate with senior engineers when addressing potential security implications.Maintain clear technical documentation for applications and systems.Collaborate with customers and cross-functional team members to effectively implement solutions.Demonstrate an AI-first mindset by leveraging AI-assisted tools and technologies to improve productivity, accelerate problem-solving, automate routine tasks, and enhance the quality of delivered solutions.RequirementsAS or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.3–5 years of software development experience using Java, Spring Framework, React, Python, MongoDB, and Kafka.Experience developing enterprise applications in an Agile environment.Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server.Experience with SOAP and/or REST web services.Experience with defect tracking tools and all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong initiative and follow-through.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, ask questions when needed, and give and receive constructive feedback.Why Join Mindex?For more than 30 years, Mindex has helped organizations solve complex business challenges through custom software, cloud, data, and AI solutions.
