Title: Lighting Engineer (DRE)Location: Novi, MichiganFull-TimeJob DescriptionLead the design and development of exterior and interior automotive lighting systems across the full product lifecycle (concept to launch).Define lighting system requirements, specifications, and validation plans in line with regulatory and vehicle-level targets.Drive supplier RFQs, technical evaluations, and design reviews; manage supplier deliverables and issue resolution.Coordinate CAD/packaging, optics, and CAE activities to ensure functional, aesthetic, and integration requirements are met.Own DVP&R, DFMEA, test plans, and quality documentation for assigned lighting systems.Ensure compliance with global lighting regulations and automotive design standards.Manage cost, weight, timing, and quality targets for lighting components and subsystems.Support prototype builds, testing, and pre-production validation activities.Collaborate closely with electrical, body, manufacturing, and quality teams across programs.
