Senior Backend Engineer

Who are we looking for:Are you an entrepreneurial engineer who is looking to be a critical part of a growing team? Join us! Our team is in the early stages of developing our product and we're looking for experienced engineers who are able to wear many hats - in addition to writing quality code.Office policy: Hybrid (a couple days per week) in our Brooklyn office. Full-time remote is not an option.What will you be doing:Own core pieces of our system.Ship code on a daily cadence.Work directly with customers.Make product decisions.Tech Stack:All AWS, a number of service within that umbrella (Lambda, EKS, RDS, EC2, etc.).Full node.js on the backend.Moving towards more Kubernetes.React on the frontend, though moving towards Web Components.Must have:5+ years of experience building and scaling backend systems.Experience leading projects which involve collaboration with peers and customers.Ability to write and debug production-quality backend code.Ability to design new systems and evaluate the tradeoffs in time to market, scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability.A desire to focus on customer needs and solve real world problems.Location: Hybrid (a couple days per week) in our Brooklyn office.Experience consistent with our tech stack (see role details).Interview Process:Intro call with Head of Eng.Coding Interview.Architecture.Panel Interview.Chat with CEO.Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid time off, Parental leave, Stock plan, Target equity count: 45000
