Responsibilities of a payroll coordinator: Payroll processing: Process and verify weekly payroll, including calculating and processing termination payments Tax withholding: Process employee tax withholding forms and ensure compliance with tax regulations Direct deposit: Help employees set up direct deposit and manage direct deposits Employee information: Update employee information for payroll purposes, such as job titles and benefits Timekeeping: Track PTO and overtime, and oversee or update the timekeeping system Budget: Ensure the budget can support payroll needs
