Security Analyst / Splunk 1 year consulting engagement 100% Remote W2 only – no C2C, 3rd party – seeking direct CDW W2 employeeThe Security Analyst will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization’s network and systems. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for real-time event monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability assessments. Proficiency in SIEM tools, specifically Splunk, is required to detect and analyze threats effectively.Responsibilities:Monitor network traffic and system logs to identify security incidents and anomalies.Respond promptly to security incidents, including investigating and mitigating threats.Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses.Utilize Splunk to analyze logs and detect potential security breaches.Collaborate with IT teams to implement and improve security measures.Document incidents, logging updates, and maintaining detailed records.Generate comprehensive reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and risk assessments.Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and industry best practices.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.Proven experience as a Security Analyst or similar role.Strong knowledge of and experience with Splunk is mandatory.Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.Experience with incident response procedures and threat analysis.Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.If you are passionate about cybersecurity and thrive in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!Send you resume to kaci.railey@gmail.com to schedule an interview this week!
