Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric

Harbor is seeking an experienced Pediatric PMHNP to join the Toledo team.This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, and is on-site.Education/Experience/Other Requirements:Must be a licensed CNP/CNS and have an active DEA license in Ohio.Two years relevant professional experience preferred.Must be able to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, with a variety of audiences, and willing to represent the organization within the medical/health-care community.Must be proficient and accurate in computer use.BLS and NCI/CPI Certifications required within 90 days of employment.Essential Job Competencies/Primary Duties:Responsible, in a collaborative practice model with supervising physician, nursing staff, and other staff for the medication for the medication management of assigned clients.Prescribes medications as indicated and appropriate within the scope of her/his practice. Sends prescriptions in a timely manner per protocol.Ensures appropriate hospitalizations (voluntary and involuntary) of her/his clients as indicated and Harbor clients if required.Responsive to emergency situations as appropriate.Types clinical documentation in the format appropriate and acceptable to Harbor.Utilizes EHR and other technologies, including but not limited to, self-typing, voice recognition, e-prescribing, etc. as appropriate and acceptable to Harbor.In providing billable services, fulfills or exceeds unit expectations established by Harbor.Consults with clinical staff regarding treatment issues as appropriate.
