Job Description
Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Deliver advanced nursing care in a progressive stepdown unit focused on cardiac, surgical, and respiratory patient populations. This travel RN opportunity offers a dynamic environment managing complex cases such as Tikosyn loading, cardiac drips, post-op drains, and wound vacs. The position requires 12-hour night shifts over 13-week contracts with a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:* Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
* Administer medications safely, including IV push, titrate Cardizem, heparin, and manage Amiodarone drips.
* Serve as a primary contact for coordinating patient care across hospital departments.
* Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety advocacy.
* Manage critical care patients, including those with multi-system organ failure.
* Support families and patients navigating acute illness and treatment options.
* Collaborate in team nursing with RNs and LPNs, managing ratios of 1:56 at night.
* Maintain compliance with professional nursing practice models and protocols.Desired Qualifications:* Current RN license with compact state eligibility.
* Minimum 1 year RN experience; 6 months in acute care preferred.
* Certifications: BLS, ACLS (required), Dysrhythmia Exam (required). NIH Stroke and CCRN or PCCN certifications preferred.
* Skilled in EPIC EHR and critical care nursing principles.
* Ability to adapt to high stress, rapid patient condition changes, and complex clinical scenarios.Additional Details:* 12-hour night shifts, 13-week contracts.
