Senior Real Estate Development Manager
The Senior Real Estate Development Manager is responsible for initiating, supporting, and executing all phases of real estate development projects—including new builds, remodels, rebuilds, and expansions. This role requires a highly skilled project manager who can balance strategy, execution, and leadership across multiple initiatives. The individual will oversee budgets, schedules, and consultant performance while mentoring team members and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with company goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Initiate, support and execute scope development of all Real Estate Department project types, including but not limited to, new real estate development; rebuilds of existing stores; remodels where a permit is required; site expansion or optimizationsFacilitate training in scope development as needed for broader teamCreate and provide oversight for execution of an end-to-end project schedule, to include all project types listed aboveDevelop holistic end-to-end budget, to include all project types, and provide oversite during all phases of real estate development, to ensure compliance with budgetary restrictions, and train all Managers in the Real Estate DEPT on development and maintenance of budgetsProvide management of third-party consultants and contractors during all phases of real estate development to ensure quality, budget, schedule expectationsProvide support and oversight to all members of the Real Estate DepartmentAdditional responsibilities as assigned Qualifications: Education Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis on project management, real estate development, construction management, or business management preferred Qualification: Experience 5+ years of related experience or training in the following related fields: project management; real estate development; construction management; business managementQualified individuals will be asked to seek a PMP certification from PMI association, within the first year of taking this position, and related experience is essential Qualifications: Competencies Worked with others to achieve shared goals while taking responsibility for individual actions achieving consistent resultsDemonstrated strong written & verbal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organizationEfficient & effective Project Management skillsA history of leveraging others appropriately & overcoming unexpected obstacles while utilizing appropriate metrics to measure progressDemonstrated your ability to investigate & weigh alternatives & select appropriate course of action, driving activity to measurable resultsA pattern of identifying the root cause for issues and using effective problem-solving methods to arrive at the best resolution option Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $121,000 - $148,000/ yearly The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
