Procurement Contract Compliance Specialist

As a key member of the Enterprise Procurement team, this role is responsible for the management and overall oversight of compliance with organizational and Health Plan contract requirements. This position collaborates with various regional Health Plans, corporate functions, and third-party vendors to facilitate contract compliance and oversee the Procurement Contract Center of Excellence (CoE).

Work Hours:Standard Business Hours (M-F | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CT)Key Responsibilities
Contract Execution & Compliance:Coordinate the execution of Product Attachments and related compliance requirements to ensure adherence to state, federal, and internal standards prior to awarding business to vendors.
CoE Standards Management:Support the management of contracting standards, including contract templates, playbooks, clause libraries, checklists, and policies.
Subject Matter Expert:Act as a junior SME for contracting standards and compliance. Identify inefficiencies, train staff on requirements, and develop quarterly plans to improve processes.
Reporting & Analysis:Support the analysis and reporting of compliance projects, pilots, and standards for the Contract CoE.
Meticulous Recordkeeping:Maintain accurate records of all compliance documents and actions; promptly update contract management systems (CLM) and document approvals according to strict policies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work with Legal, Compliance, and Category Management departments to understand, document, and implement contract compliance flow-downs.
Customer Service Excellence:Deliver premium service to internal stakeholders; respond promptly to inbound requests in line with procurement SLAs and maintain polished, professional communication.Work Environment & Expectations
Workload:High-volume, high-pressure environment managing a ticket-based workflow (approx. 50–100 requests per week).
Engagement:Active participation in team huddles is required (camera-on environment).
Schedule:Must be available to work Central Standard Time (CST) hours regardless of home location.Required Qualifications
Education:Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Contract Review:1–3 years of experience reviewing complex legal and commercial terms and raising risk exposures under general supervision.
Compliance/Procurement:3+ years of experience in at least one of the following:
Compliance or regulatory experience in a healthcare and/or managed care setting.
Government procurement and flow-down requirements for subcontractors or third-party vendors.
Drafting contract templates, terms and conditions, and improving contracting processes.
Knowledge:General understanding of procurement concepts and processes.
Mindset:Strong customer service orientation and ability to handle constant, transactional workloads.Preferred Qualifications
Government Frameworks:Experience with government procurement (FAR/DFAR) or CMS-related contracting.
Technical Tools:Experience with ticket management and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools such as ServiceNow or Coupa.
