DescriptionJob Title: InstructorDepartment: Training & Technical DevelopmentReports to: VP of Training and TechnologyJob Description/QualificationsStrong leadership and communication skillsVertical market technical developmentDevelops knowledge and skills in niche markets such as VRF, Chillers, Hydronic loop systems, boiler serviceAttends factory training for the purpose of becoming technical expert in specific nichesDevelops best practices to be executed by the regular service group for specific nichesFirst line of defense for tech support for all field employeesField employee mentorship and developmentPerforms onsite training at customers’ locationsIdentifies external training opportunities (factory, supply house)Identifies internal training focus topics and helps to develop and/or execute internal training classesLocation On-boardingEnsures all proper data is collected and set up in the site for the new locationDevelops Preventative Maintenance procedures for locations requiring more detail beyond the basic PM scopeTackles complex technical problemsUnique problem solving, directly handles multiple time callbacksCallback checkouts and next-steps procedural oversightConducts QAIs on maintenance or service workIn House Classroom Training Responsibilities The instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in the areas of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration. The ideal candidate has real-world HVACR experience and a passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of skilled technicians.Develop lesson plans, course materials, and hands on lab experienceProvide academic support Evaluate students performancePursue additional licenses as may be required by the companyWorks in support of the Company Mission and Vision StatementsRequirementsExperience/Skills: 10+ years HVACR field service experienceExcellent customer service, people and communication skillsPossess strong computer and technical skillsAbility to multitask and think strategically is a mustLicense RequiredMA Refrigeration License or equivalentEPA CertificationValid Driver’s LicensePhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, answer phones, type, and work on computer screen for extended periods of timeStanding, sitting, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting and walking for extended periods of timeLifting (approx 50 lbs.), climbing ladders and stairs; bending or stooping; extended periods of walking; regular exposure to weather conditions; operating motor vehicles; and ability to operate power and/or hand tools. Drive a van.OtherThis role will be part time office work, part time HVAC/R service workAn individual must show a willingness to continue to develop skills in the HVACR trade as part of the continued learning process.
