Construction Workers
Mills Construction offers full-time year-round work and no overnight travel along with PTO, Holidays, Insurance, and a Matching 401K. Excellent opportunity for Construction workers to join our team! Construction workers are currently needed to assist our team on the Hamlin School Addition. This project will last until December 2024. Workers can advance to Superintendent as they continue to learn from more skilled craftsmen and gain experience. Applicants must display respect and service, work as a team, and have a strong work ethic with physical strength and endurance, working well with your hands. At the end of the day, we have a sense of true accomplishment and can physically see how our work betters our community.
What you will be doing:
Preparing construction sites, materials, and tools
Loading and unloading of materials tools, and equipment
Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools
Perform building and construction work which includes, but is not limited to concrete, steel, wood, and finishes
Site cleanup duties
Follow all health and safety regulations and policies
Receive and carry out instructions

Work alone once instructions are given
Work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Have basic knowledge of construction procedures and practices.
Own basic tools: Toolbelt, carpenter pencil, utility knife with blade, carpenter's square, 16 oz. or larger hammer, tape measure, sheet metal hand shear, cats paw for framing 9-10" size, and chalk box.
1 year of on-the-job construction experience or at least 6 month of on-the-job experience with a Building Trades Degree or Journeyman Certification is preferred.
You will need to:
Be able to lift up to and in excess of 75 pounds
Be able to work in a variety of adverse weather conditions and elements
Be able to make repetitive movements with bending, twisting, and climbing
Have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination
Be able to wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and any other safety related equipment
