Lead Program Manager
Overview
In this hybrid Lead Program Manager role, you guide cross-functional product development and drive portfolio performance within the Pro Electrified Products Design Center. You own high-impact projects, manage category risks, and implement process improvements to accelerate delivery. You’ll mentor teams, govern timing and cost metrics, and align initiatives with strategic design-center goals. This is a hands-on, impact-driven position at a global leader shaping innovative, connected tools and equipment.

ResponsibilitiesDirect engineering-led New Product Development programs with risk management and cross-functional coordinationLead sub-category projects and manage portfolio-level risks across multiple complex initiativesInstitute continuous improvement for program, process, and cross-functional collaborationMonitor and drive sub-category KPIs (agility, product cost, capital spending, CTQs) and coordinate mitigation actionsTrain and enable colleagues on performance improvements tied to portfolio metricsDevelop and communicate project plans, dependencies, critical paths, and risk mitigationManage program P&L and key financial drivers affecting margins and revenueFacilitate cross-functional collaboration across boundaries and lead best-practice sharing
Key requirements10+ years in Engineering Product Development5+ years in Engineering Product Development or Program Management of Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing products preferredBachelor in Engineering (or related field)Strong communication and upward communication skillsProven experience in new product development in consumer and professional goodsPeople management experience and ability to lead cross-functional teams including executivesUnderstanding of NPD financial principles and impacts on costs and paybackExperience with structured project management methodologies (Critical Path) and tools (Microsoft Project, Office)Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and deployment best practicesAnalytical, problem-solving, and ability to make data-driven decisionsExcellent written/verbal communication and meeting facilitationAbility to build constructive global, multicultural working relationshipsInfluencing skills and documentation of business requirementsActive project deliverable ownership and PMO reporting disciplineeffective communicationcollaborationinfluencing othersNew Product Development (NPD)Cross-functional project managementPMO and KPI tracking
