A growing real estate investment platform is seeking a Real Estate Counsek with 35 years of experience to join its in?house legal team. This role is designed for attorneys who want to continue working on sophisticated transactions while gaining broader responsibility and direct business exposure.The RoleYou will work across a wide range of real estate and corporate matters, partnering closely with investment and asset management teams. The legal team operates without silos, allowing attorneys to engage across the full lifecycle of deals.LocationBaltimore County, Maryland (hybrid schedule, 3 days in office per week)Key responsibilities includeDrafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements for real estate acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financings, and development transactionsSupporting complex debt and equity financing transactions, including loan documents and guaranteesAdvising on entity?level and corporate matters such as structuring, governance, and maintenanceManaging legal due diligence, including title, survey, organizational, and contract reviewCoordinating directly with internal deal teams and external counselIdeal BackgroundJ.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active bar membership35 years of transactional experience, ideally in real estate, finance, or a hybrid practiceStrong drafting skills, sound judgment, and interest in building a broad?based transactional skillsetWhy This OpportunityNo billable hours - performance is measured by quality, judgment, and executionExposure to complex, high?level transactions comparable to large?firm workDirect, deal?facing responsibility and meaningful business involvementHybrid working model, with regular in?office collaboration
