Responsibilities shall include but are not limited to:Single point of contact for daily execution of tasks.Scheduling and monitoring the performance of on-site technicians, 3rd party vendors, and other resources performing work at the data hall.Assist with new hire interviews, staff onboarding and continuous mentoring and training of staff.Provide proper training, set clear expectations, and with the assistance of the team, provide tools for Data Center Techs to effectively execute daily job responsibilities.Plan and coordinate all daily datacenter operations and activitiesPlan weekly and longer term work as neededAssign the above ticket and project work to the techs and insure tasks are performed in a timely manner / as requiredEnsure tickets are updated and ultimately closed.Power monitoring and management.Environmental and cooling monitoring.Implement approved processes and procedures regarding Data Center Operations for Piscataway, NJ.Timely assignment and follow up on tickets.Review and offer recommendations (whenever possible) on improving existing processes.Follow best operational practices and contribute to maintain or improve high datacenter uptime.Maintain routine communication with on-site staff to ensure team task objections are being met.Provide weekly reports on activities in the data center, notable highlights, issues requiring escalation, and other relevant topics.Be a resource to also perform standard work activities in the data center including:Rack and stackCable patchingHardware break/fixLayer 1 troubleshooting.Manage the onsite visits of authorized TS vendors for purposes of specialized equipment installs, maintenance, and repairs as needed. Ensure vendors are properly escorted per TS security policiesManage the receiving and shipment of equipment deliveriesQualificationsCollege Degree3+ years managing a large datacenterExperience leading a team of datacenter techniciansBasic understanding of power and power systems (DC, AC, Voltage, Current, Power, PDUs,...)Organization skillsDetailed orientedMS Excel and Word skillsGood communication skills
