Kindergarten TeacherPOSITION TITLE: Kindergarten TeacherPOSITION SUMMARY:A Kindergarten teacher is highly qualified and an Indiana Statecertified teacher with a Kindergarten Endorsement responsible for delivering the CommonCore State Standards and the SBCSC curriculum in a differentiated, generaleducation learning environment.IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Building PrincipalDUTIES:A teaching candidate must fully implement the kindergarten curriculum, following corporation provided instructional resources.Additionally the teacher will:Plan lessons, provide instruction, support and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students' individual needs and assess student growthMaintain a safe classroom and appropriate classroom management and make parent contact, as necessary to advance each child's learning.Complete and maintain all required student records.Utilize the SBCSC technology, as required.Other duties which will be assessed include:Uses a variety of teaching strategies to engage students in the learning processStructures the classroom environment to maintain student interest and engagementMaintains professional responsibility for planning, implementing and evaluating the process of learning by attending and participates in required staff meetings/ staff development. Works together with the grade level teamQUALIFICATIONS: License with Kindergarten Endorsement and be Highly Qualified.CONSIDERATIONS BY ADMINISTRATION:Maintain regular, documented communication between home and schoolUtilize technology to enhance the learning environment and differentiate instruction.Works in standard office and school building environments. Must be able to work regularly scheduled hours. Must be able to handle stress.
