You will teach students across topics including: Basic electricityElectrical wiring methodsElectric servicesConduit installation methodsMotor principlesElectrical controlsLife safety systemsConstruction safety practices This role combines technical expertise, mentorship, and hands-on instruction to prepare students for successful careers in the electrical and construction trades industry. Schedule:Monday-Thursday: 8:00 am - 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm - 11:30 pm Key ResponsibilitiesTeach electrical trades classes on a regularly scheduled basisCreate a welcoming and engaging learning environment for studentsDeliver hands-on instruction in classroom and lab settingsAssist with curriculum development and course material preparationMaintain classroom tools, lab equipment, and instructional materialsMaintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progressSubmit evaluations, reports, and required documentation on timeSupport student retention and academic success initiativesParticipate in instructor training, faculty meetings, and professional developmentAssist with equipment and supply inventory managementCommunicate student attendance concerns and performance issues to leadershipMaintain a clean, safe, and organized training environmentPerform additional duties as assigned by leadership Qualifications EducationHigh School Diploma or GED requiredVocational, technical, or construction-related training preferred ExperienceMinimum 4 years of experience in the electrical or construction trades fieldExperience as a Construction Electrician, Commercial Electrician, Industrial Electrician, or Electrical Technician preferredPrevious vocational training or teaching experience is a plus SkillsStrong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and construction safetyAbility to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven educational environmentStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem-solving and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyProficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePointCampusNexus experience is a plusto support occasional evening, weekend, or travel requirements Certifications & LicensesOSHA 10-Hour Safety Certification within 6 months of hireCPR Certification current or obtained within 3 months of hireNCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) Certification within 6 months of hire What We Offer We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package that supports your personal and professional well-being.
