Project Manager - MechanicalPosition OverviewA strong mechanical contractor is looking to bring on a Project Manager - Mechanical who will lead planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for delivering projects on time, on budget, and to quality and safety standards, with primary focus on mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, plumbing, fire protection, and fire alarm. The Project Manager will serve as the primary client and contractor point of contact, manage project teams and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with design documents, codes, and company processes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout, ensuring milestones, budget, and quality targets are met.Develop and maintain project schedules, cost forecasts, and progress reports; identify and mitigate risks and resolve issues proactively.Coordinate with clients, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and vendors to review designs, clarify scope, and ensure constructability for HVAC, piping, plumbing, fire protection, and fire alarm systems.Prepare and manage project budgets, change orders, and contract documentation; review subcontractor bids and negotiate scopes and pricing.Supervise and mentor project team members, field supervisors, and subcontractors; enforce safety, quality, and productivity standards on site.Oversee coordination of materials procurement, equipment delivery, and site logistics to maintain schedule and minimize delays.Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure installations comply with drawings, specifications, codes, and industry best practices.QualificationsBachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.Minimum of 2-5 years of progressively responsible experience managing mechanical construction projects; experience as lead Project Manager preferred.Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, fire protection, and fire alarm systems and related codes and standards (NFPA, ASHRAE, IMC, UPC, etc.).Proven experience with project scheduling and cost control tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, Procore, or similar).Experience preparing and managing budgets, contracts, change orders, and subcontractor agreements.Working knowledge of construction documentation and drawings (RFI, submittals, as-built drawings) and ability to interpret mechanical design documents.BenefitsPTOHoliday Time401k matchHealth / Vision / Dental Insurance Email Your Resume In Word ToCarson.Kirk@CyberCoders.comLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
